Criteria Used for Evaluation
Comfort
Comfort is the most important factor to consider when buying your running shoe because if a sneaker is not comfortable, you will not want to wear it. That is why buying the right shoe for you is crucial.
Our collection features some of the best cushioned running shoes varying in size and foot type, whether it be flat, wide, or narrow. Our selection of shoes also caters to runners who suffer from either overpronation or under pronation.
Versatility
It is extremely useful having a versatile cushioned running shoe because it means you can wear one shoe for different types of running and across a multitude of terrains.
We tried to create a selection of running shoes that offered a lot of versatility. Some of the options we chose were suitable just for long-distance running whereas some of the other shoes we chose were more versatile and suitable to wear for marathon running, crossing training and road running.
We also selected models that were suitable to wear in different weather conditions, providing a lot of choices.
Durability
The best way to own a pair of durable running shoes is to pay close attention to the type of materials used to make the shoe.
It is incredibly important that the materials used to create the upper and forefront are hard wearing. It is equally important that the shoe outsole is durable so it will last for a long time and withstand wear and tear.
All the options in our collection have durable outsoles; however, the materials used to create the shoes do vary. Some of the running shoes feature a crystal rubber outsole and others a full EVA foam midsole. DNA LOFT cushioning and lightweight AHAR also appear in our collection.
As part of our selection process, another way we evaluated the shoe durability was by reading and taking into consideration customer reviews. This gave us a useful insight; however, it was important to remember that the views were someone’s opinion and not necessarily fact.
Breathability
When running, you sweat a lot and burn lots of calories, so you must wear the correct running shoes to keep you cool and refreshed.
The choice of materials used for the running shoe can impact the level of breathability. If feet are not cool enough or supported in the right way, this can cause blisters or result in injury.
All the cushioned running shoes in our collection are breathable; however, some of them vary in breathability depending on the type of materials used or features included. Our collection features models with perforations, double-jacquard mesh, and PrimeKnit+ material, all of which help by making the shoes breathable.
Value
Before buying your new most cushioned running shoes, it is important to establish your budget.
This will help when researching because you will already know how much you can afford and whether you have any additional money that you can spend if you happen to see something that is a little out of your price range.
