Technologies
EVA Midsole
Used to help disperse weight and provide stability, the EVA midsole is both lightweight, durable, and comfortable. It offers a great amount of cushion with each step. A great feature for any walking shoe.
Continental Rubber Outsole
Continental rubber is an excellent material for an outsole. The deep lugs provide superb traction on both wet and dry surfaces and it overlaps the toe to give toe protection against bumps and abrasions.
It gives excellent slip resistance and is a really durable material.
Torsion Bar
Not something I come across often but the Adidas Terrex AX3 offers a torsion bar for midfoot stability. It is also a benefit during long hikes and on uneven ground.
Comfort & Cushioning
The abrasion-resistant material offers both breathability and flexibility. It allows the foot to enjoy the transition of each step and is beneficial on longer hikes.
It is also a material that will continuously provide your foot with the performance you want on all terrain.
Price
The Terrex AX3 are extremely fairly priced, given their performance abilities and versatile nature. I was shocked as the design is one that I think is really appealing and I'd happily pay the price any time.

Verdict
Honesty matters right? I am totally sold by the Adidas Terrex AX3. This model performs well, offers longevity, a fashionable design, and it comes at an extremely fair price.
The one thing that sells this shoe to me is the versatility it offers. It is a shoe that is stylish enough to pair with jeans, supportive enough to accompany you on a trail run, and durable enough to act as a great hiking shoe.
The lugs are deep and offer great support and traction, especially on uneven and wet ground, something I find most beneficial when hiking, and they will definitely outlast their price tag.
