If you experience discomfort and foot fatigue during the day, but otherwise have pretty typical feet, the Dr. Scholl’s Air Pillo Insoles may be able to give you the little extra cushioning and support that you need to power through your day.

What’s better than a layer of cushioning under your feet? Two layers. Dr. Scholl’s Air Pillo Insoles feature a dual-layer of foam that provides both the support and cushioning. This cushioning is built to last six months when used for low-impact activities like walking. If you put more stress on them, they will wear out quicker, because they aren’t built for high-impact activities.

The bottom layer of foam in the Dr. Scholl’s Air Pillo Insoles is special in that it is “Sure-Grip Foam”. This foam is meant to keep your insoles in place in your shoes so that you don’t experience bunching up and wrinkling, which would in turn cause discomfort and even skin irritation and/or blisters.

Dr. Scholl’s Air Pillo Insoles contain natural rubber latex. They fit men’s sizes seven through thirteen and women’s sizes five through ten. You can trim them to fit almost any shoe. Once they’ve been trimmed to fit (if need be, and via the trim guide), you can place them in your shoes with the fabric side facing up. When used as directed, you can get up to six months out of one pair.

Dr. Scholl’s Air Pillo Insoles come at a fantastic price and come with a money-back guarantee. If you have tired and achy feet throughout your day, these could be of assistance to you.

Dr. William Mathias Scholl was born in 1882, in Indiana. He Grew up to become the founder of Dr. Scholl’s. His family is a long line of cobblers and farmers. As a young man, William had an interest in the biomechanics of feet and shoes. He immersed himself in research regarding foot care. And when he wanted to earn some money, he used his grandpa’s tools to repair shoes for people.

Once out of high school, Dr. Scholl went on to the Loyola University of Chicago to study medicine. To earn money in college, Dr. Scholl worked at a shoe store. While working there, he struck an interest in podiatry. Before he even graduated from college, Dr. Scholl designed, invented, and patented his first arch support product. This arch support was invented in 1904.

In order to grow his consumer base, and be able to eventually have retailers overseas, William took on a partnership with his brother, Frank, and founded Dr. Scholl’s. The original brothers may not be alive today - but the current owners, designers, manufacturers, etc continue, to this day, to implement Dr. Scholl’s passion into every product.

They work hard to advance technologies all the time to improve the performance and effectiveness of their products. Dr. Scholl’s company's mission is to assist people in achieving their goals more confidently and comfortably. You can find other products like Dr. Scholl’s Air Pillo Insoles, made by Dr. Scholl’s, here.

Fit

Dr. Scholl’s Air Pillo Insoles come in one size, and it comes standard at just under twelve inches. The insole is trimmable and can fit men who wear sizes from seven to thirteen and women who wear sizes five through ten. Now, this isn’t a huge range. There are other insoles that will fit a large demographic. You can find longer trimmable insoles here.

There is a trim guide included in your purchase. If you do need to trim the insoles to size, just put them up against the sole of your shoe to see where you need to trim. Once it’s cut to size, simply stick it in the shoe and you’re ready to go.

Cushioning

The number one priority of the Dr. Scholl’s Air Pillo Insoles is the comfort. Specifically, comfort for people who experience foot fatigue and discomfort throughout their day-to-day routine. What’s special about Dr. Scholl’s Air Pillo Insoles that they can help with that? It’s the dual-layer system that provides you with both additional cushioning and support which will work together to keep you comfortable.

The bottom layer of foam is actually Sure-Grip Foam, which will keep your insole where it’s supposed to be inside of your shoe. This layer decreases the likelihood of dealing with pesky bunching and wrinkling of the insole under your feet.

Dr. Scholl’s Air Pillo Insoles may not be designed to provide you with any shock absorption, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still enjoy some. With two layers of foam cushioning under your feet to support you and cushion you; you’ll be able to enjoy a bit of shock absorption from them. It may not be the best, but when it comes to relieving stress on your feet, even the smallest amount helps. If you need insoles that will absorb more shock, check here.

Support

Support is something that many, many people need from their shoes, socks, and insoles. Especially if you’re somebody with atypical feet. If you have foot pain, back pain, knee pain, leg pain, plantar fasciitis, metatarsalgia, etc, you would benefit from an insole that provides you with the right amount of support and stability.

Dr. Scholl’s Air Pillo Insoles are not designed to support feet that aren’t typical. They’re designed to support feet that simply need a smidge of extra cushioning to power through the day. They will not provide the right support for flat feet. They will not provide the right support for high arches. If you’ve got high arches, you can check here for good shoes.

It’s important to note the impact level of shoes and insoles you’re shopping for. If you plan on beating up your feet with running, sports, or working on concrete floors, you’re going to want to make sure you’re looking for products made for high-impact activities. If you’re jogging or playing tennis, a medium-impact would be sufficient. And if you’re just walking or standing (and don’t experience pain from conditions), you’ll want products made for low-impact activities. Dr. Scholl’s Air Pillo Insoles are designed for low-impact. If you need insoles for high-impact activities, try here.

Anti-Blister

The last thing you want to deal with in the middle of your day is a brand-new throbbing blister on your foot. Unfortunately, this is a common occurrence, especially for those who are on their feet for a better part of the day. Your feet slide around in your socks, your socks slide around your shoes, and if you have insoles, they sometimes slide around too.

Dr. Scholl’s Air Pillo Insoles are designed so that you don’t have to spend your days worrying about blisters (at least not due to the insole sliding around). The bottom layer of foam used in the construction of this insole is made with Sure-Grip Foam, which is created to reduce and/or diminish bunching and wrinkling of the insole. If you need help with blisters, check here.

When your insoles stay where they’re supposed to be, you’ll be less likely to experiencing skin irritation that you would if they slid or bunched up. This means less time worrying about the sores on your feet, and more time worrying about the task at hand.

Breathability

One of the most important things when it comes to your socks, shoes, and insoles, is how well they allow air to flow, how well they allow you to breathe. Thus, how well they can keep you cool, dry, and free of odor. Now, Dr. Scholl’s Air Pillo Insoles weren’t designed to give you these benefits. Therefore, you will want to be sure to shop around for the best alternatives.

Wear breathable socks that will wick away moisture from your feet and the expel it to the surface of your sock. Check here for breathable socks. Even better, wear breathable shoes that can wick the moisture away from your socks and expel it to the surface. If you have a team of components working to keep your feet dry and allow some air-flow to them, then they will help to ward off odor-causing bacteria. If you have feet that sweat excessively, you’ll want to make sure that you take every measure you can to protect your feet.

The odor isn’t the only thing you need to worry about when sweat and bacteria mix. The bacteria that causes foot odor can also cause toenail fungus and Athlete’s foot; both of which you don’t want. You can find odor-fighting products here.

Anti-Fatigue

Foot fatigue is a common condition caused by spending a lot of time on your feet. What becomes tired in your feet, is your muscles. And when those muscles become tired, that’s when you experience foot fatigue. Your muscles cramp up and cause discomfort/pain with walking. It’s not just overexertion that causes foot fatigue. It can also be caused by having flat feet. If you need products for flat feet, check here.

Common symptoms of foot fatigue include cramping, aching, pain, and swelling. These symptoms can be alleviated by stretching and massaging your feet at least twice a day. This will loosen your muscles and help to relax them, before and after your day. Make sure the shoes you’re wearing have enough support, fit properly and are comfortable. Having Dr. Scholl’s Air Pillo Insoles can even lend a hand to help foot fatigue; that’s what they’re made for, after all.

Caution

It is always recommended that you consult your Dr. before purchasing any product that is meant to alleviate any of your symptoms. Why is this important? In this case, if you have poor circulation, fragile skin, diabetes, high arches, flat feet, etc - you need to make sure you consult your Dr.

If your feet are atypical in any way, you will most likely need more than the Dr. Scholl’s Air Pillo Insoles can offer to you. They don’t have adequate support, stabilization, shock absorption, cushioning, or odor control for anyone with a foot condition or anyone who performs moderate to high-impact activities. This can help you determine which orthotics may work for you.

Latex

An important thing to note - especially for those with allergies, is that Dr. Scholl’s Air Pillo Insoles are not free from natural rubber latex. If you have an allergy to latex, you do not want to purchase these insoles. Not all of Dr. Scholl’s products have latex, though. The only ones that do are the Dr. Scholl’s Air Pillo Insoles, Double Air Pillo Insoles, and Odor-X Odor Fighting Insoles.

Guarantee

It’s important to know whether or not a product you purchase can be returned, replaced, or refunded. Thankfully, Dr. Scholl’s Air Pillo Insoles are equipped with a money-back guarantee. It’s not your typical thirty-day guarantee, either. It’s actually effective for ninety days. If you’re not completely satisfied with your product, and it’s in your ninety-day window, you can receive a refund.

Keep in mind that if you’re purchasing from a third-party website, the guarantee may not be in effect. Be sure to do your research before purchasing. If you are eligible, simply fill out the return form that came with the package and mail it to the refund department. The address will either be on the form or can be accessed on Dr. Scholl’s website. Make sure that both insoles are in the box along with your proof of purchase.

Bottom Line

Dr. Scholl’s Air Pillo Insoles are perfect for those who experience foot discomfort and fatigue during long days. They are equipped with a dual-layer foam system for cushioning and support. They’re perfect for people who don’t need much out of a pair of insoles.

If you’re someone who needs a lot of support for high arches or specific support for flat feet, this isn’t your number one option. In fact, they may cause you additional pain, instead. Be sure to consult with your Dr. before purchasing anything for foot conditions.

Dr. Scholl’s Air Pillo Insoles are simple to insert. Simply trim to size (if needed), using the trim guide, and then slip them into your shoes, fabric side up. That’s it. Replace when they begin to wear, or every six months.

These insoles contain natural rubber latex, so if you are allergic to latex, you’ll need to look elsewhere. They help tired feet by providing cushioning and support with a no-slip grip to avoid blisters and skin irritation. Consumers have reported that they wish the Dr. Scholl’s Air Pillo Insoles were more durable and had odor control built into them. However, for their low price, and the money-back guarantee, why not try them if you’re looking for relief from day-to-day discomfort.
